My father, Bill Griffith, would often tease Richard Geer about the films we were making. He said they were too serious and we should make a comedy. Richard was up to the challange and "Pawns of Folly" was the result.

The second film produced this year also had a lot of comedy elements. A lot of scenes were shot at Milwaukie High School. We filmed in the auditorium for the first time. This was Richard's classroom in his real life role of drama teacher.
